Concept of Allergy Allergy is an abnormal reaction of the body to an allergen that enters the body by inhalation , Ingestion , injection , or skin contact . The allergic reaction is often manifested by cough , headache , skin rash , sneezing , eye redness , itchy skin , runny nose etc ..

Allergens and their types Allergens are substances that cause allergy in the body . It is a non – parasitic antigen capable of stimulating hypersensitive reactions in the body . Allergens exist almost everywhere . Some of the most common allergies are : Wool , pollen of congress grass , wheat , different kinds of nuts etc ..

They can be carried to other parts of the body where their effects may manifest.
