Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Week 8 Action Research By: Jose Alvarez Jr.

Scene 2 (8s)

[Audio] When reading the research paper, was the writing clear and concise? When reading the article, it began by giving me some background information over what they were researching. They were trying to research whether the COVID-19 had an impact with the mental health of children and adolescents..

Scene 3 (28s)

[Audio] Were the terms in the research paper clearly defined? For the most part, the terms in the research paper were not at all that difficult to understand. The terms that were a bit more difficult were words that were used often so I knew the definition to them. Many others might have a difficulty understanding these terms if they never heard of them before since they were not explained to well..

Scene 4 (51s)

[Audio] Were the major sections of the research paper reported clearly? Yes, the research paper was split up into how they did their research. They also had titles before each paragraph, such as Methods, Background, Conclusion and Results. This made it clearer for me to go through and see what was being talked about in each paragraph before even beginning to read that paragraph..

Scene 5 (1m 16s)

[Audio] Did you feel you were able to grasp the research process and understand the purpose, framework, design, and findings of the research paper? For the most part, the purpose, findings and the research process were all easy to get a grip on them. They explained each process in great detail so that we could see how much they put into their research..

Scene 6 (1m 39s)

[Audio] Were you able to find important "takeaways" from the research paper? Yes, the main takeaway I got from this research paper is that many students suffered from depressive symptoms, self-harm, suicidal ideation and suicide. Many of these also occurred after the government suspended students from attending school. The governments limitation on social interactions gave negative results which caused the mental health of the participants to worsen..

Scene 7 (2m 7s)

[Audio] Was the research study applicable to a healthcare practice area and if so, was it clear to the reader? The research study was applicable to a healthcare practice area. They started off by explaining what they were researching, which to me, made it clear as to what healthcare practice area was being researched..
