[Virtual Presenter] Good afternoon and welcome. Today we have the pleasure of discussing the Water Crisis Enhancement Project presented by Group 3. We'll hear about the causes and consequences of the water crisis in the Korail slum, along with recommended solutions for the future. Now let's get started!.
[Audio] We can observe the project location - Korail Slum - on this slide, which has been submitted to our esteemed advisor, Mr. Sohan, by Arnab, Zuhair, Azmee, Zawad, Labiba and Surov. The project aims to address the pressing issue of water-crisis and our aim is to set up the project in the slum and make a real difference by providing clean and safe water to the people there..
[Audio] The situation in our region is dire, with limited access to clean water, irregular water supply, and high population density having a serious impact on the health and quality of life for locals. Inadequate access to clean water leads to poor hygiene and a spread of disease, and high population density only exacerbates the issue. We must act now and create a sustainable solution which can benefit the local community..
[Audio] I witnessed the alarming predicament of the water crisis. When I visited recently, I was astounded by how little water was available and the extreme effect this was having on the community. Visuals of the region demonstrate how essential it is to tackle the issue now. Nobody should have to endure such a situation. Immediate action is necessary..
[Audio] With the world's population continuing to rise, the water crisis has become one of the greatest challenges of our time. In the region where we live, insufficient access to formal water supply is contributing to the issue. With rapid population growth, the inhabitants of slum areas are struggling to access potable water, while the existing sources of water have become heavily polluted. If we are to ensure everyone has access to clean and safe water, decisive action must be taken without delay..
[Audio] Water is a fundamental resource for life, yet many people worldwide are deprived of access to clean, safe water indispensable for health and basic requirements. The water crisis has numerous impacts on everyday life all over the world, from the absence of suitable sanitation and hygiene to the lack of access to safe drinking water and the dire consequences that follow, e.g. epidemic and poverty. Our group is devoted to building initiatives that promote access to clean water worldwide..
[Audio] This video depicts the lives of people living in areas where water is scarce, highlighting the hardships of accessing clean drinking water. We witness accounts of citizens having to collect drops of water from rooftops and store them in containers. The visuals of this video paint a picture of the difficult reality faced by these people. This serves as a reminder of the rawness of our world, and the purpose of the project we are undertaking..
[Audio] Water crisis is an increasing problem affecting people and communities globally. To tackle this issue, we must take action and create improved access to clean, affordable water. Our group has proposed a series of solutions, like enlarging water supply, proficiently managing waste, and constructing filtration and purification facilities. Although these solutions may seem simple, they can have a major impact. By working collectively, we can guarantee that everyone has the fundamental right to access clean water..
[Audio] We must take proactive steps now to address the water crisis. Population growth should be controlled to reduce overall demand on water resources. Wise use of current resources and water conservation in our lifestyles are essential. Protecting wetlands, which act as natural filters, is also important in safeguarding our water resources. Taking these steps together will ensure water is available now and in the future..
[Audio] We are a group of four members dedicated to addressing the water crisis in our region. Comprising of an engineer, chemist, biologist, and a water policy expert, each bring valuable experience and insights towards this project. Offering our combined expertise, we are confident that sustainable solutions can be found to address the growing water crisis..
[Audio] I would like to thank you for joining us as we discussed the Water Crisis Enhancement Project by Group 3. We are hopeful that this project will help make a difference for our communities now and in the future. It is essential that we all do our part to build a more sustainable future. Working together, we can guarantee that everyone has access to safe, clean water. Thank you for being part of this essential conversation and joining us..
