Scene 1 (0s)

JUMIA VALUE S DAY. “Think, Decide and Execute Nimbly”.

Scene 2 (8s)

OVERVIEW. Group 7 voted Allan Gimoro story as the lead story; He joined Jumia in 2019 Black Friday as a temporary Inbound Associate and currently a Full Time Employee(FTE) as ‘ Outbound Team Lead’. His story exhibited the value of “Think, Decide and Execute Nimbly” which literally embodied many scenarios across the room of how each of us have lived the values..

Scene 3 (33s)

CHAOS & NO LEADERSHIP…. Fingerprint. He describes the situation at the time as being 'Brutal' and confusing..

Scene 4 (43s)

THINK... ønr. Fingerprint. Allan was part of the loaders and had to lift items into the WareHouse; one vivid product was lifting KGs and sacks of Sugar which were heavier than his own body weight. Infact, one of his colleagues chose to quit; he couldn't take it..

Scene 5 (1m 4s)

DECIDE…. co 00. Fingerprint. He thought through his situation at work; how he could move products easily and faster, how he could quickly improve the way he worked using his skills. Could he do it alone? Did he need to involve his colleagues to draw up a plan?.

Scene 6 (1m 21s)

EXECUTE.. ThinkBook. Fingerprint. Without a clear plan he decided he could stay at Jumia and adapt using the available tools. What he needed first was an area within the WH that had easy access to a computer. He identified and positioned himself near the processing unit, an area that enabled him to deal with tasks more realistically and jumped onto every opportunity that enabled him work within even without being picked on..

Scene 7 (1m 42s)

EXECUTE.. Because he is tech savvy, he built his micro schedule using his phone, where he would take images of required UIDs, locate them and quickly pick them as his colleagues went back and forth picking one UID at a time..

Scene 8 (1m 58s)

SUCCESS .. He was very efficient and the OPU TL recognized him and fully adopted him into the team..

Scene 9 (2m 8s)

Thank You The Gladiators.
