[Audio] Martin luther King jr Martin Luther King jr was born in january 15th in 1929 in Atlanta Georgia. Martin was mostly known for his role in the civil rights movement all of his protest he wanted to be completely peaceful. For example he lead the bus boycott protest which was because rosa parks wouldn't give up her seat on a bus that was segregated in Alabama. He made a huge commitment to make sure all of his protest was a nonviolent protest and to make sure that there was no violence. Martin luther king jr was a all around leader for civil rights movements all the way up to his death on April 4th 1968 when he was assassinated off of his balcony..

[Audio] Booker T Washington Booker T Washington was born in 1856 and he was a child born into slavery in Virginia but later on became a huge influence in the 20th century especially in the African American community. Booker was a civil rights leader but he wasn’t all about being peaceful he just was a diehard conservative figure for the civil rights movement. People often referred to it as the Atlanta compromise because it was mostly about vocational and education and economic self improvement. Because he believed that by proving their worth through hard work Black Americans could eventually win respect and they would get accepted by white Americans. Example of one he created the Tuskegee Institute. This all lasted up to his death on November 14th 1915 though he was gone the tuskegee soon later continued not long after his death..

[Audio] Rosa Parks Rosa Park was born on February 4th 1913 in Tuskegee Alabama. She became a leader for civil rights after she was on a segregated bus in Alabama. In December of 1955 when she refused to give up her seat on the bus for a white passenger on the city bus. But at the time they had very serious segregation laws. Which made it where African American would have to give up there seat to a white person if they were asked and if not would be punished. But all this would soon be changed when rosa refused to give up her seat all though she was arrested there was a huge year long protest on this which would end up leading to the supreme Court which there they would sign it unconstitutional and there it would become the end. She passed away a legend in October the 24th of 2005..

[Audio] Web Dubois WEB Dubois was born on February 23rd in 1868 in great Barrington Massachusetts. He became one of the most influential civil rights activists scholars and intellectuals of the 20th century. WEB ran a protest called the (NAACP) in 1909 which played a huge role in the civil rights movement. It wasn’t all about being peaceful but he wanted to make sure it was completely legal. But he wanted to fight the racial discrimination and he did this by the protests and by research of the social and economic conditions of African Americans. Sadly WEB died in August 27th 1963 but he died a hero..

[Audio] Angela Davis Angela Davis was born on january 26th in 1944 in Birmingham Alabama. She was protesting to end police brutality and self defense for the blacks. one of the most nobel events in her life was when she got arrested in a connection to a armed takeover of a courtroom. While she wasn’t even present a the crime scene she still was charged because of that incident. Her number one protest dedicated to freedom for the blacks because they was getting unlawfully charged with things they did not do But it included race, gender and glass freedom. She was a big leader for the black community. This was a somewhat peaceful protest some people broke the law but most did not and she didn’t want them too. She is now continuing her life in Alabama and is known for her act..

[Audio] John Lewis John Lewis was born in february 21st 1940 in troy Alabama. John played a huge role in the Big Six American Civil Rights movement and advocate for social justice. John wanted to make sure that every protest he participated in was a peaceful one. He lead one about the rights because 2 people was attacked by 2 state troopers while advocating or voting rights. John was very well known and people loved him up till his death is july of 2020..

[Audio] Malcolm X Malcolm was born on may 19th 1925 in Omaha Nebraska he experienced a troubled childhood marked by his fathers murder and his family’s displacement due to racial violence. He lead a protest to end racial violence but he had a militant stance against racial discrimination. He believed that black people needed to make sure they had their rights by any means necessary. Even if it meant harming someone or something. All though he was assassinated in february 21st of 1965 he remains a complex and enduring figure in American history..
