A word-for-word translation helps the review team to take appropriate actions as per the Community Guidelines and online platform's policies. Your role as a translator is to translate native language videos into English. The translation should be simple and logical so that the reader can understand the subject and context of the video. As a native language expert, you need to highlight the words or parts that could be offensive, abusive, derogatory, contain hate speech, or may harm the sentiments of a specific community..

[Audio] In the previous slide you understood the need of Project. Now, lets go through the guidelines. Provide word-for-word translation in English, with timestamps in the defined format, without distorting the meaning of any aspect of the video/ speech. The translation must convey to a layman the meaning of the content and should be self-explanatory in case additional comments are needed, they should be provided. Ensure translations reflect cultural understanding and context needed to understand the content of the videos, including metaphors/ slurs/ slang, violent, hateful, religious, sexual, discriminating content, etc. Label the name of speakers in dialogue format wherever there are multiple speakers involved. Please translate the disclaimer, thumbnails, and on-screen text. Leave a comment in the NOTES column where specific and detailed hateful language is mentioned, ethnic discourse, or incitement to violence. If any segment is inaudible in the video, please provide the timestamps and mark them as [inaudible]. Translate the lyrics of the song if the video contains any song. If possible, provide the name of the artists in the Notes section. Provide a crisp summary of the video and title translation at the time of submission..

[Audio] Now, let's see what are the various components of a translation file. Number 1 Name of the document. A project manager will assign a translation task in a google document file with Name of the document as – Translator's name, the language of the video, and the time stamp to be worked on. For example, if X is working on the first 20 minutes of a Russian language video, the name of the document shall be "X_Russian_00:00:00-00: 20: 00. Number 2. Video metadata In this section, translators will provide title translation of the video and video link and language will be added by our team..

In this section, translators need to add a summary of the videos and any additional comments regarding the context of the overall content and the people present in the video. Number 4. [Audio] Now, you know how to translate a file. So, now it's time to tell you how we approach for Assignments. First, an availability check email is sent to all potential translators whenever we receive a task. Approximate video minutes available with an estimated deadline to work on are shared in the email. The second step is from the translator's end, The translators respond with their availability for the task and the capacity they can work in suggested deadline. In the third step, One of the project managers from the team will assign the task with a document link, video link, timestamps to be translated, and a deadline for submission of the task. After that Project managers follow up at regular intervals to ensure the timely completion of the projects..

[Audio] While working always Do follow the following: Ensure Word-to-word translation. Make sure all the sentences are complete and making sense while translating. Check for spelling and grammar errors. Add notes for any derogatory/culturally inappropriate remarks. Add a summary of the video and title translation. Do submit all the projects within the assigned deadline. Reply to emails and answer queries raised by Project managers while working on a translation task. Clarify things on a quick call, in case of any quality issues. And, Do not do these mistakes: Do not miss adding comments in the video. Do not add a minute summary in the translation box.
