[Audio] Once the contract is awarded and upon receipt of IFC (Issued For Construction) documents, UNEC will commence all engineering activities. Each department will begin reviewing the documents and undertake the following tasks: The contract team will develop project protocols, insurance and guarantee bonds, and identify authorized signatories. The engineering team will establish submittal logs, prepare shop drawings, issue RFIs (Requests for Information), manage post-contract variations, NOCs (Notices of Completion), and mobilization plans. Concurrently, the commercial team will assist in developing cost codes, creating an execution budget, and defining work breakdown packages based on the baseline program. This structured approach ensures comprehensive preparation and coordination across all project phases..

[Audio] UNEC's in-house BIM team will develop coordinated models for the project's assets, utilizing data provided by engineers, specialists, and subcontractors. These models will undergo thorough clash detection to identify any conflicts. RFIs will then be raised to the engineer to seek further clarification and instructions for resolving these clashes. Once all clashes are successfully resolved and the final coordinated model is ready, UNEC will proceed to extract shop drawings. These drawings will be submitted to the engineer for comprehensive review and approval, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements..

[Audio] The UNEC engineering and commercial teams will collaborate to prepare a list of suppliers and subcontractors, which will be submitted for engineer approval. Simultaneously, UNEC will send out Requests for Quotations along with related documents such as drawings, specifications, design reports, quantities, and draft warranties. Upon receiving quotations, the UNEC team will conduct a thorough analysis and select the winning bidder for each package, which will then be submitted for engineer approval. Once approved, UNEC will proceed to award the package to the selected bidders. Following the award, material and sample submittals will be prepared and submitted to the engineer for review and approval. This meticulous process ensures that all materials and subcontractors meet the project's standards and specifications..

[Audio] UNEC undertakes a pivotal role in the procurement process by presenting the proposed list of tenderers for each PS package to the engineer for approval. This includes issuing comprehensive tender documents to PS tenderers and specialists. Throughout this phase, UNEC ensures all inquiries and site visit requests from tenderers are coordinated and shared with the engineer to maintain transparency and alignment with project requirements. Upon receipt of quotations from tenderers, UNEC conducts thorough technical and commercial assessments. These assessments are compiled into a draft recommendation and assessment report, which are then submitted to both the engineer and employer for approval. Once endorsed by the employer, the engineer authorizes UNEC to proceed with signing the PS packages, whether in full or in part, with the selected tenderer. Following approval, UNEC proceeds to finalize contracts with the chosen tenderers, ensuring all contractual agreements are meticulously reviewed and executed to facilitate the seamless initiation of project activities. This methodical approach guarantees that procurement operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with project timelines and specifications..
