Standard operation Procedure for Normalization and Rolling of TDBFP.
[Audio] For normalizing TDBFP, first ensure that all the permits on TDBFP are cancelled and complete box up of all equipments has been done SEQUECNCE OF NORMALIZATION is : Lubrication oil side normalization Feed water side normalization Putting TDBFP in barring Vacuum side normalization Steam side normalization.
[Audio] For normalization of lub oil system , first check for the availability of cooling water in PHE.
[Audio] Then start any of the vapor exhaust fan..
[Audio] To check the availability of EOP, start EOP manually. After successful trial of EOP, start MOP or AOP and check for any leakage in lub oil system..
[Audio] If no leakage is found, check other important parameters like lub oil pressure, control oil pressure, lub oil Filter DP , control oil filter DP. Filter change over can be done if required..
[Audio] After normalizing lub oil system, Feed water side of TDBFP to be normalize Feed water side of TDBFP contains following main components Suction MIV Suction and booster pump strainers Recirculation Valve Discharge MOV & IBV.
[Audio] For normalizing Feed water, close all the manual drain valves, which contains Booster pump suction strainer drain. Booster pump suction line drain..
[Audio] Booster pump casing drain And Main pump suction strainer drain.
[Audio] Before charging feed water in system, open RC line MIV and Reheater spray MIV from local And RC live SOV from DCS command.
[Audio] After that, open Booster pump suction strainer vent Booster pump suction line vent.
[Audio] And main pump strainer vent. Main Pump Strainer Vent (3.5 M).
[Audio] After opening all vent valves, open suction valve IBV and crack open the suction valve Ensure proper venting of suction strainers of Booster pump & Main pump by observing proper water flowing out of the vents. Then close all the vents and gradually open the suction valve to full open condition.
[Audio] Next step is to put TDBFP on barring, before starting barring Ensure that seal cooling water of booster pump & main pump is in charged condition.
[Audio] Once the Lub oil system and Feed water side of TDBFP is normalized Start TDBFP barring from DCS or local panel and ensure the barring speed and check if any abnormality observed..
[Audio] Our next step is to charge the gland steam and connect TDBFP exhaust to condenser vacuum For this, firstly open the manual drain before gland steam MOV and ensure proper dry steam coming out from drain and then throttle it and left crack open.
[Audio] Then open MIVs in the seal steam supply line and return line Crack open the drain line MIV after seal steam MOV Now gradually open the gland steam MOV and observe TDBFP exhaust temperature and pressure..
[Audio] Now gradually crack the gland steam MOV and observe TDBFP exhaust temperature and pressure..
[Audio] After charging gland steam, turbine exhaust needs to be connected to condenser vacuum For this, gradually open the gland steam MOV and then open IBV of turbine exhaust valve by tracking condenser vacuum, it should improve Check vacuum develops in exhaust line pressure transmitter Slowly open turbine exhaust valve from local by tracking condenser vacuum.
[Audio] Before normalizing steam side of TDBFP Ensure that drainage pumps are lined-up and drain tank level is normal Open drain tank vent MOV and connect it to condenser.
[Audio] Different Steam source for TDBFP are Auxiliary steam source IP Extraction And CRH steam source For the line up of CRH and Auxiliary steam source their MIVs should be open TDBFP can be rolled either with Auxiliary steam header or with IP extraction steam. If unit is on bar, TDBFP should be rolled with IP Extraction steam. And in case, unit is reviving from shutdown, TDBFP will be rolled with auxiliary steam source.
[Audio] Before starting TDBFP rolling, partially open exhaust hood spray MIV to control exhaust temperature..
[Audio] First we will learn how to roll TDBFP with IP extraction steam.
[Audio] Before start rolling we need to warm the steam pipe For this, Open Start up vent Then crack open the IP Extraction Inching MOV and observe the pressure and temp before startup vent Also observe the downstream temp of driplet SOV Now open IP Extraction Inching MOV to full open condition.
[Audio] To start pipe warming, Reset the TDBFP. Reset TDBFP.
[Audio] On resetting TDBFP, Trip oil will generate and MSV will open.
[Audio] Now go to overview page and observe steam pipe temperature After completion of warming, warming stop command will appear on overview page.
[Audio] After getting warming stop command, again trip the TDBFP and Sequence Start TDBFP rolling..
[Audio] As the sequence step forward, trip oil will generate and MSV will open. Turbine speed will increase gradually. Ensure that barring gear will disengage as the speed increases. Turbine will soak at 800 rpm for 10, 20 or 30 minutes according to hot warm or cold start up condition..
[Audio] During turbine rolling, open CRH source Before MOV drain SOV and Auxiliary and CRH line common header drain SOV Also ensure that the MIVs of these lines are in open condition When turbine speed reach 3050 rpm, slowly open CRH steam MOV to full open condition and close all steam drain valves.
[Audio] Ensure that turbine is remote enabled. Observe the turbine casing temp and when it comes to normal working temp 280 Degree Celsius Now load the TDBFP as per requirement.
[Audio] To roll TDBFP with auxiliary steam source The upcoming steps to be followed.
[Audio] open the auxiliary header drain SOV CRH header before MOV drain SOV Aux/CRH common header drain SOV Driplet SOV And start up vent MOV Also ensure that the MIVs of these lines are in open condition.
[Audio] Then we need to warm the HP pipe For this, Reset the TDBFP Trip oil will generate and MSV will open Now go to overview page and start HP pipe warming by enabling pipe warm up command Input HP governing valve demand as 5% and observe steam pipe temperature and pressure Increase input demand as per requirement.
[Audio] Once the warming is complete, warming stop command will appear After this, again trip the TDBFP and Sequence Start TDBFP rolling After reaching 3050 rpm, slowly open CRH steam MOV and close all steam drain valves.
[Audio] Once the IP Extraction steam is available, gradually open the IP extraction MOV while observing turbine inlet steam pressure. When the extraction MOV is fully open close the Auxiliary steam MOV..
