Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Hi, In this presentation we will look at the new features that are included in the Release 100..

Scene 2 (8s)

[Audio] The R100 comes with a new range of phones. The R100 is more IP/ SIP oriented so there are only two TDM phones available. These phones are Hybrid phones. The 20h and 30h come with a TDM port and with an IP Port. These phones do not have a second pc port. They are compatible with R100 and R12. 4 MD8 for TDM and 12.4 MD5 for IP. Attention to use TDM you need an adapter if you are using old common hardware. The ALE20 deskphone is the entry IP phone that comes with an additional pc port. The 300, 400 and 500 deskphones are pure IP phones and compatible with R100 and 12.4.

Scene 3 (1m 1s)

[Audio] The enterprise businessphones can be equipped with additional modules for programmable keys and with an additional keyboard. These are connected trough the usb port. The sets are backwards compatible with R12. 4 MD5 with some restrictions. The sets are identified as IPTouche 80x8s..

Scene 4 (1m 48s)

[Audio] The Essential businessphones can be equipped with an additional module for programmable keys. Hybrid phones ALE-20h, ALE- 30h works either with an Ethernet or an UA link whereas ALE-20 supports IP and SIP modes and not with UA link. ALE-20 has two IP ports whereas ALE -20h and ALE-30h phones has one IP port and a TDM port ( UALink). At startup, the hybrid phone checks whether there is any UA synchronization available ( connection to a UA/TDM port). • If there is a synchro, it starts in TDM mode • If not, the phone starts in IP mode. The new phones in TDM mode requires higher power than existing phones. The terminals must be aware of the power supply type of the Rack they are connected to. There are three ways to support the new sets in OXE: • Use the New Large Rack with increased power supply: the new Rack supports power of 150W instead of the existing 110W. • Use the New power Adapter for hybrid phones which provides 5V through an USB-C connector. • It is also possible to use crystal hardware to get the TDM sets ( ALE 20h & ALE 30h) in service without use of external Power Supply The external power supply related information is passed to CS by terminal using a dedicated message while terminal boots up. Based on the above-mentioned conditions, CS decides if it's allowed to continue with terminal initialization. If the conditions are met the initialization continues. If none of the above is met, the set will not come into service in TDM mode. The phone will go in hibernation, waiting for a message from the system that it can go ahead. It will start-up in a very low power mode and wait for a message from the system to start. It will continuously wait until this message is received. If any Power Adaptor is plugged, it will reset and advertise this PA presence and start without the need of a message answer from the system. The ALE- 20, ALE-20h IP and ALE-30h IP sets are backward compatible sets in an M5 MD patch. The ALE-20h TDM and ALE-30h TDM are backward compatible in version M5 MD8. This patch will be deliverd in Q1 2022.

Scene 5 (4m 31s)

[Audio] New common hardware rack 150W. The new range of TDM sets ( ALE 20h & ALE 30h) draws more power from the rack than its predecessors. So in order to use that along with common HW, it is needed to introduce a new rack which can supply 150W of power instead of the existing 100W. This information regarding the power supply type present with the Rack Hardware needs to be identified by the rack firmware while booting up and this is conveyed to the CS. Even though it is a new Rack ( L+), there is no need to specifically configure it in mgr. Incident 3757 is added to indicate if the terminal is not allowed to come in service due to power supply or incorrect rack.

Scene 6 (5m 23s)

[Audio] With the new release there comes new hardware. GD4, GA4 and EvolMex replace the older hardware. These cards are only compatible with R100, not backwards compatible! The boards come with the same capacity as before, 30 channels standard and expandable with armada boards..

Scene 7 (5m 49s)

[Audio] The GD4 comes with two lan ports and two modules for HSL link to EvolMex remote rack. Attention the configuration port speed has changed to 115200 baud. The modem connection, auxiliary audio interface has been removed..

Scene 8 (6m 9s)

[Audio] The NEW GD4 board comes with restrictions towards the older boards that are in the rack. In this slide you see the boards that are supported by the GD4 board. Boards not mentioned in this table are no longer supported and need an GD3 or older board to function..

Scene 9 (7m 10s)

[Audio] The GA4 comes with two lan. Attention the configuration port speed has changed to 115200 baud..

Scene 10 (7m 27s)

[Audio] R100 introduces a new range of phone sets. The new Enterprise deskphone functions in N.O.E. Mode.
