[Virtual Presenter] In this literature study, I aimed to identify the challenges and implications related to the readiness of pre-service teachers to address STEM education trends in physics. I surveyed earlier studies on this topic to look at the issues teachers may confront when teaching physics using a STEM-based approach. Through my research, I concluded that pre-service teachers must not only have a solid understanding of physics, but also be informed of current STEM trends to teach physics efficiently. Furthermore, our results suggest pre-service teachers are more likely to use conventional methods of teaching, instead of incorporating new STEM-based approaches.
