Poor sleep quality among workaholics are higher compared to non-workaholic ( Salanova , 2016) Sleep deprivation may increase the risk of parasomnia disorder. Parasomnia disorder effects in various forms depending on their sleep cycle, activity and  behaviour  they cause. According Singh et al (2018) findings shows that the lifetime prevalence of different parasomnias in adult’s ranges from 4 to 67%.

To examine the relationship between the workaholic behaviour of working young adults and its effects that will  leads  to parasomnia disorder.

Data will be collected in an online survey through the Google form   Targeted audience are working young adults (age 18- 35)

To investigate workaholic’s behaviour that can be harmful to the working young adult’s health, resulting in parasomnia disorder. To identify the relationship between workaholic behaviour and its adverse  effects   which lead  to parasomnia disorder.

Chart 18 shows the analysis the condition of right after they wake up. 17   respondents   (30%) have responded as none, 13   respondents   (28%) do not remember doing certain activities, 9   respondents   (19%) get confused or disoriented, 7   respondents   (15%) wonder where they are, and 4 respondents (8%) responded that they have unfamiliar cuts on their bodies

Scene 19

In this updated overview of young adults who are workaholic leads to parasomnia disorder, the  study have focused on what is known about this disorder but also highlighted areas where our knowledge is still deficient, not least because the definitions of the disorder remain disparate across specialties.  The study found that 26 participants in the age range between 22 – 26 are occupied and working tends to sleep less and experience parasomnia symptoms.  This study has limitations as follows:            -  the amount of respondents maximized to 50           -  the age limited to 18- 35 years old           -  lack of previous studies regarding the topic. The study had changed our perspective towards parasomnia disorder. It has been discovered that young adults are likely to be more workaholics.  This topic has a connection to health and behaviour because parasomnia disorder is a health related issue meanwhile workaholic is a behaviour.

Scene 20

Parasomnia disorder in young adults is a new topic that hasn't been thoroughly investigated, and data on whether being a workaholic causes parasomnia disorder is hard to cope up. ​ ​  The study will be beneficial to discover a pattern in working young adults who are obsessed with work and experiencing parasomnia disorder without realizing it. ​  Future research will generate a more significant result by increasing the number of responses and opening to all age working adults who are workaholics and have experienced the symptoms of parasomnia disorder.​ This study finding will help working young adults;​    - to recognize how their working culture impacts their health as in developing parasomnia disorder. ​    - to consult a psychologist or sleep therapist
