In many cultures, this is traditionally the purpose self-isolation has served . Self-isolation in religious traditions is in many ways about practicing self-restraint and withdrawing from the ills of society.”.

Point 2) History of the Island of PATMOS during the Time of John.
Lesson:. Point 1) John went into Lock-Down in the island of PATMOS by force which is similar to how we went into lock-down because COVID19 forced us to. Point 2) Since COVID19 is considered a virus, we all are forced into self-isolation and quarantine for the benefit of our own health. Or in other words, self-isolation and quarantine is actually good for our health even if some of us doubt this fact and value our normal daily lives. Point 3) Apart from being forced to, when we by choice sacrifice our time for God, he makes time for us like John isolated in the Island of Patmos..
Short Story…. Ili iiiiii.
Why John Went to PATMOS?. Point 1) John did not choose to go to Patmos! Point 2) The reason why John was banished to Patmos is found in Revelation 1:9..
Lesson:. John never did anything wrong biblically speaking, just because of His faith in Jesus Christ, he was banished to Patmos. Sometimes within this Great Controversy in this world, doing what is right according to The Holy Bible may be seen as doing the wrong thing according to The world (and doing the wrong thing biblically speaking may be seen as doing the right thing according to this world)..
Conclusion. In conclusion, we must understand the fact that John was also in this Great Controversy (his entire life here on earth). He personally in his right mind chose to follow Jesus Christ, and for that, he was banished by the Roman Empire to the island of Patmos. It’s easy for you and I to blame the Roman empire and the anti-Christians during that time, little did we fail to recognize the force behind them. Yes, satan and his angels were present all these time working and stimulating John through these Roman empire trying their very best to disconnect and separate John in his personal relationship with His God Jesus Christ. Sometimes we too are figuratively stimulated by satan and his angels just like John to disconnect and separate our relationship with Christ. On the other hand, just like John I encourage us all to maintain our connection and relationship to the True Vine in John 15, the Word in John 1, and our Creator God Jesus Christ. It’s not by mistake that you’re present here tonight, just like it was not a mistake John was present at Patmos..
