[Audio] NATS, short for Network Automation Tool System, is an in-house program developed by Premium Service Desk ( PSD) to proactively monitor cellular health status of IPVPN managed wireless CPEs. Brief high-level design as follows: First, the user i.e. NetOps team (e.g.: Resident Engineer or 1st & 2nd Level support) will instruct NATS to perform cellular health check script on a list of customer's wireless CE (e.g.: Bank Islam & CIMB).This can be executed one time or on a scheduler basis (e.g.: run daily at 8am) Second, NATS will retrieve customer information from Enterprise Datawarehouse ( EDWH), based on user request. EDWH will then pass the required information to NATS. Third, NATS telnet or SSH to selected CPEs. NATS issue the required commands to selected CPE via Telnet or SSH automatically. NATS capture all output commands from CPEs. Fourth, NATS provide output result to user in various formats (e.g.: html, csv, txt). User can download the result via NATS portal. If meet low performance criteria, user will create predictive CTT and escalate it to DDZ or Telco team..
[Audio] Comparison of manual vs automation. Before, manual activities tend to consume resources and time especially if it involves hundred and thousand of routers. For example, case of 100 routers it will take about 5 hours top to complete the required tasks. After automation with NATS, the same tasks will only take around 5 minutes to achieve the same result. In addition, NATS can be run repetitively via scheduler based on user or customer requirement..
