[Audio] Personal story One beautiful October evening, my family and I explored into the center of our ancestor's land on the rising full moon. Under the full moon, we went through the cold woods, the sound of our footsteps adding with the wind's murmurings through the trees and the fragrance of sweetgrass filling the air. We were gathered around a raging fire, surrounded by the vibrant colors of the autumn sky, and bundled up in several layers of soft blankets. Our singing and giggles were appreciated by the flames. As we recited stories that had been passed down from our ancestors, we felt a strong feeling of connection to the land and to each other. We laughed and showed love for one other as we danced under the stars, honoring the traditions of our people and the wisdom of the planet.
