Site Induction – Emergency Response Plan. Emergency Response Plan Emergency response will be initiated for Fire Injury to a person that cannot be treated locally and requires emergency services, helicopter evacuation for any reason, Spillage of diesel or other environmentally hazardous substances which cannot be contained. Familiarise yourself with the Fire Plan and Information in H&S Room Fire Fighting equipment strategically located on escape routes and high risk area along with all mobile plant and fuel bowsers Spill Kits will be available in all items of plant on site Alarm will be raised by safety button, or verbal and radio communication Alert RJM site staff in the event of an emergency.

Site Induction – Emergency Response. In the event of an incident occurring on site, please follow the emergency response procedure: Raise the alarm with others in the area Radio site management on the Emergency radio channel and give details of the emergency. Give all pertinent information such as: Location Details of the incident Severity Emergency Services required Site management will dispatch a trained First Aider to the scene. Keep in regular contact with site management giving updates on the incident until the First Aider arrives If Emergency Services are required, a site wide call will be made to hold all vehicle movements to keep access tracks clear and an escort vehicle will be dispatched to the main access gate to escort the Emergency Services to the incident. For serious and grave accidents: Leave accident site in its current condition for further investigation. Do not continue work until given clearance by your supervisor..

Site Induction - Site Rules. Safety is important , people die every week on sites. Almost half of those who die have been on site for less than one week. It is each individuals duty to take reasonable care for the health & safety of themselves & others. If you observe any unsafe acts/behaviours intervene and report it. SEE IT = OWN IT = SORT IT Follow and comply with all site signage. All persons entering site are to report to the site office, and sign in and out on the register. All vehicles must reverse park. Site Induction - Site Rules. All site personnel to be competent in health and safety and certified by a recognised Contractor Safety Competency Scheme or equivalent. All persons taking part in a work activity on site, must have a Risk Assessment/Method Statement briefing for the works, fully understand the briefing and be signed onto the RAMS briefing register. Daily safety briefings shall be given by a member of the site management team. These will highlight the method of work, risks involved and control measures. Suitable work clothing should be worn whilst at work regardless of your job. Please ensure you dress appropriately to allow you to carry out your work. Welfare facilities are provided for you which are clean, hygienic, warm and a dry place to provide adequate rest and shelter along with a place to eat and drink. Site Induction - Site Rules. RJ McLeod operate a Drugs and Alcohol policy. Testing will be random or suspicion based. Full policy is available and displayed on the site safety notice board. Alcoholic drinks and non-prescription drugs are strictly prohibited on site, anyone seen in possession of or under the influence of either, will be removed from site. Smoking is only prohibited in designated areas of the site. Violence, Bullying or Aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated by any person on and around the site. Any acts of such behaviour will be managed in accordance with RJ McLeod Disciplinary Policy. Disciplinary Policy and Procedures are managed using the Yellow/Red card system. Site Induction - Site Rules. Seat belts must be worn at all times where fitted Rigger type boots are not permitted on site. Mobile phones should only be used if authorised to do so, or in an emergency. At no times should mobile phones be used while driving. All personal information is used and stored in accordance with the DATA Protection ACT. Any suspicious activity is to be reported immediately to your supervisor/site agent/foreman. Site Induction - Site safety. Traffic Management Do not exceed the speed limit which is 5mph onsite as indicated by road signs. In Car Parks, Compounds, and when passing a work party it is also 5mph. Flashing beacons to be used at all times by site plant and vehicles. Passing points for vehicles will be constructed as the site roads progress and MUST be used effectively i.e. no parking.
