KICK OFF OR. RESTARTING OF. THE GAME At the beginning of the game and at the beginning of the second part After a goal is scored At the beginning of each period of extra time..

KICK IN. -A method of restarting play after the ball has left the sideline -awarded to the opposing team if a player touched the ball last, when the ball has completely crosses the touch line or hits the ceiling.

GOAL CLEARANCE. - awarded when the whole of the ball passes over the goal line, either on the ground or in the air, having last touched a player of the attacking team, and a goal is not scored in accordance with Law 10.

CORNER KICK. -a method of restarting play -awarded when the ball is touched in last place by a player of the defending team and passes over the goal line.

PENALTY KICKS. taken from the penalty spot and must be taken by a clearly identified kicker. Defenders may not be nearer to the b a l l t h a n 1 6 f ee t a n d e v e n o r b e h i n d the ball when the kick is taken.

FREE KICKS. may be indirect or direct. The ball must be stationary before the kick may be taken.
