Personality psychology is the study of each person’s characteristics as they make him different from other and consistent with in himself (mischel,1968) personality deals with characteristics common to all individuals it differ from these other area in that its emphasis on individuals variation (lazares,1971).

GORDAN Allport’s theory. Allport and odbert ( 1936) consulted standard dictionary and identified 17,953 words in english that referred to specific traits. Allport concluded that trait accounted for consistency of human behaviour . Allport (1937) said that a trait is a capacity to render many stimuli functionally equivalent and to initiate and guide consitient forms of adaptive and expressive behaviour ..
