Introduction to A Teacher’s Perspective on Academic Teaming . The capstone will explore the effect of the perspective from teachers actively teaching in a rural, Title I, small sized 3A school as well as a semi-rural, Title I large 4A school. The data covers teachers that are currently using academic teaming on their campuses, some who have used academic teaming in the past and also from teachers that have never had any academic teaming at all. This survey is to identify possible needs of the district for more effective instructional relationships and practices..

Conflicting Viewpoints. The team-teaching approach allows for more interaction between teachers and students . Teachers involved with team teaching have different teaching values from other teachers. The team’s individual teachers’ discipline approach will not always hold equal value..

Limitations. Limitations for this study that may affect the outcome of the study would be struggling teachers that fill out the survey when this is their very first year to teach in the classroom. Another limitation will be if the majority of teachers are at small Title I schools where the teacher is the only one in the grade level or content..

Delimitations. The study was delimited to middle school teachers of all core content and elective area in rural schools . The study included 2A through 4A size districts. The study was also delimited to teachers who currently serve in Coldspring -Oakhurst, Livingston and Wharton school districts, all rural and Title I districts.
