I. My biggest take-away from this talk was that everybody has the
potential to rediscover their creativity since 98% of all 5 year olds
were classified as creative geniuses. Therefore, we have simply been
shaped to conform to the norm throughout our education which has made
us less creative and authentic.
One unique question I have is why this information isn't more widespread
and well-known within society and therefore why the education system
isn't doing more to change what is happening?

Having listened to the podcast with Jeni Britton Bauer I see that the
role of empathy in problem finding is to connect with people and the
issues and challenges they face within their lives and with their emotions to
ultimately find a solution and create a new business idea that solves these
problems and has demand. I would say that it's role in purpose finding is
not being afraid to chase your passions and connect with what really makes
you happy as an individual. In Jeni's case it was her empathy towards her
own emotions which led her to dropping out of college and begin selling
ice-cream. This empathy extends to products and how they want people to
use them since this emotion has to be translated into a business product
that solves the problem that the empathy has originated from. It is not true
empathy unless these emotions are translated into actions that ultimately
improve the situations of others experiencing difficulties.

For this task I chose to watch 'Kiss the Ground on Netflix. This is a documentary which fcxuses on how soil regeneration
can help to battle climate change.
3 problem statements addressed within this documentary were:
-It would great if we could reduce climate change so that we can avoid its catastrophic effects
-Wouldn't it be nice if we could shift our eating patterns to more natural. regenerative and healthier so that we can
benefit from enriched soils and healthier diets.
-It would great if farmers could reduce the use of chemicals and fertilizers on their crops so that we can avoid degrading
our soil via desertification and also avoid these chemicals finding their way into our water system and foods.
What stcx)d out to me in this dcxumentary is that despite the problem of climate change and soil desertification being know
worldwide. with 2/3 of the world desertifying and an estimated 60 harvests remaining before the worlds topsoil is ercxfed,
the solutions and actions are taking within politics, esckcially within the main global producers such as the US and
China, are disjointed and not doing enough to change the direction of this trend.

One example Of remixing that I've Seen is my parents business. taking inspiration from existing industries and turning it into
something that merges different aspects of these industries to create a new and creative service,
One example that I've done is taking inspiration from other sources. interviews and cases within a recent English assignment
that I had, which helped me to create my overall argument and paper.

Companies that play infinite games are looking to continually grow and are not concerned with short term measures of
market share and profit. They also look to compete with themselves whereas finite companies are concerned with
against other firms. Infinite companies may experience greater efficiency as they avoid wasting resources by
trying to mirror and follow other companies. The vast majority of companies such as Coke and Pepsi. which constantly
with each other. play the finite game. An example of a company that plays more of an infinite game may include
Apple since it is constantly innovating and paving its own path. and other companies such as Samsung look to follow and
compete.
I believe playing an infinite game in both education and life allows you to have the freedom to try new things and focus on
growing as a person and student rather than just lcx»king to pass a class. Someone playing an infinite game will have a
growth mindset and will constantly be looking to learn new things and develop their skills, allowing them to more
successful in the long term. This approach may require you to overcome the obstacle Of being afraid of failing and taking a
step backwards in order to take two steps forward.
I am curious about what strategies a company and a person can pursue to play more of an infinite game?
