What are Sustainable Goals ?. The Sustainable Development Goals are the plan to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all . They address the global challenges we face In January 2015 , the General Assembly began the negotiation process on the post 2015 development agenda. The process culminated in the subsequent adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with 17 SDG at its core at the UN Sustainable Summit in September The purpose was to create a set of global goals, related with the environmental, political and economic challenges that we face as humanity.

Role of India in achieving SDG. “whole-of-society” approach (National, State and local government involved) India’s commitment to the SDGs is reflected in its national development agenda as reflected in the motto of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas (Collective Efforts for Inclusive Growth). Sashakt Bharat - Sabal Bharat (Empowered and Resilient India) Swachh Bharat - Swasth Bharat (Clean and Healthy India) Samagra Bharat - Saksham Bharat (Inclusive and Entrepreneurial India ) Satat Bharat – Sanatan Bharat (Sustainable India ) Sampanna Bharat- Samriddh Bharat (Prosperous and Vibrant India).
The Role of Youth in India in achieving the SDG. T he world is home to the largest generation of the important drivers of global change and innovation that is the youth. We contribute to about 43% of the global population We have the will, courage, appetite for adventure. This makes us huge cohort of vibrant, constructive force which can address global issues and create a more just, equitable, and peaceful world Mother India, a young nation, has 250 crore arms and 200 crores of those arms are younger than 35. They are brought up with the ideology of Gandhiji - “Be the change you want to see in your country” to make India a strong and self-reliant nation.
Strength and quality of the Youth of India. Youth of 21 st century are Critical thinkers Problem solvers, excellent communicators and collaborates well using the latest technology. Thus these 21 st century skills help the youth to evade all the challenges. Given an opportunity Youth of today will redraw the face of the Earth..
Youth on Mission for 2030 Vision. Act with energy ,make our voice heard to see the change. As excellent communicators we should communicate to the peers and communities at the grassroot level to bring an awareness and knowledge about SDG and its significance. Being the problem solvers provide alternate solutions and make our voice heard as Youth voice matters and we are the leaders of tomorrow! This generation of empowered youth should focus on education for sustainability to achieve Green Prosperous India. Let us change before we bring the change in others this will help us contributing to Clean Bharath, Each one Plant one and many other programs. Nothing is THEIRS ,Everything id OURS, so let's join hands on a mission to teach SDG for better India, in turn better world..
