[Audio] Xpress Instrument The xpress machine is used as sample preparation for testing plasmodium The process workflow for testing plasmodium is the that the whole blood must be lysated and the lysed whole blood is tested on the panther. The blood is is lysated so it can break down the blood and also release the parasite in the blood so it can be measured. The xpress machine will mix the whole blood with the lysate solution . The xpress machine can also be used for pooling or archiving sample which is not yet used at this stage..

[Audio] Xpress The Procleix Pooling software is intended to be used with the Procleix instrument to create pools of human plasma for blood screening tests. A user has the option to select different pool sizes (pools of 4, 8 and 16) as well as an archive plate option. There are 3 different pool sizes available: Pools of 4 Pools of 8 Pools of 16 The xpress works in in conjunction with the bloodstream software to interpret the result. . It will be used to test malaria cases. This a presentation is introductory to the IH eflexis and erytra machine These are ilex values Erytra /eflexis is a fully automatic analyzer designed to automate in vitro immunohaematological tests on human blood, using Grifols gel card technology, including blood group and antigen typing, antibody screening, compatibility tests and direct Coombs test. The eflexis machine is for smaller labs which run smaller volumes and the erytra is a bigger machine for larger labs which run bigger test volumes Results are automatically read on both machines, interpreted and registered. Results can be reviewed, printed or exported upon user request The machine test the below:ABO red cell and serum grouping, Rh(D) typing,Antigen typing,Antibody detection,Antibody identification. Here is video on the erytra and the eflexis. Here is a small troubleshooting guide on the erytra and eflexis Initialization If the instrument has been shut down incorrectly , manually shut down the instrument down for 5 second and unplug from the power source and put it back on again When the instrument is on but still can't initialise probable it is the fluids that are the issue. It normally happens if the instrument has not been active for a while. When it starts initialising you will see with the below icon You can solve this by performing several primes and washings from the Technical Service The barcode reader from the gripper is not able to identify any barcode You can try these things to sort it out, Reader does not start incorrect shutting down of the analyser. You shut down the machine manually and unplug the power off for 5 second and restart it properly Barcode of the card on the opposite side card loaded incorrectly Barcode Reader is not working mirror could be dirty or broken, can shut down the machine and clean it and restart the machine New cards on service rack empty rack should be loaded in service rack positions This is how it will normally appear if the card where not able to be read ,below Incubator The machine starts incubating the cards at around 25 to 37 degree celsuis. The sometimes get disabled but you can enable them under maintenance tab. If the issue persist a technician must have a look at the peltiers Gripper You will see this error below when it happens It is sometimes disbabled you can enable it again you can to Controller>Maintenance>Incubators&Centrifuges tab when the instrument is not performing any test If the issue persist the a technician needs to do a teach on the gripper. Sample /reagent detection the presence detector of the P-I-P arm cannot identify sample or reagent on the rack. If not, check that the orange light of the laser is on while it is detecting the presence of the vial or tube. If problems persist for: reagents: If the system detects "ghost" vials, polish the floor of the reagents' rack in each position where the vials are placed. If the system does not detect the presence of.
