The xpress machine is used as sample preparation for testing plasmodium The process workflow for testing plasmodium is the that the whole blood must be lysated and the lysed whole blood is tested on the panther. The blood is is lysated so it can break down the blood and also release the parasite in the blood so it can be measured. The xpress machine will mix the whole blood with the lysate solution . The xpress machine can also be used for pooling or archiving sample which is not yet used at this stage..
