Scene 1 (0s)

Animated Video Assignment Question 2 Presented By Name Date.

Scene 2 (7s)

[Audio] Gun ownership rights in the United States are protected under the second amendment. "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Gun laws within the United States vary by state. Example- Firearm Safety Certificate is required by prospective gun owners before they make their purchase. The US government should impose stricter gun laws to reduce the adverse effects associated with the gun violence..

Scene 3 (42s)

[Audio] High incidences of mortality and gun-related injuries Based on statistics, 16,651 people are murdered while 76,725 suffer serious gun injuries. Furthermore, 24,569 people die from gun suicide whereas approximately 34,566 people survive gunshots from someone else that shoots them intentionally and survive (Rees et al., 2022). An increase in firearm training is associated in the reduction in the overall incidences of gun violence and positive attitudes regarding gun safety measures within the community..

Scene 4 (1m 23s)

Trends in Firearm Violence. ( Kena & Truman, 2022)..

Scene 5 (1m 30s)

[Audio] The current gun laws are not being implemented effectively within the United States. There has been a sharp increase in the rates of gun related murders by 45% from 2019 rates to 2021. Furthermore, approximately 71% of homicides from 1993 to 2018 were committed using firearms while majority of firearm violence were conducted using hand guns within the same period (Kena et al., 2022). High levels of firearm violence is an evidence of lack of effective interpretation of the second amendment in US application of the second amendment since the gun polices vary across states whermeant to protect gun ownership and use among citizens. There is also high variance in the e some impose stricter gun policies compared to other states. According to Burger (1992), the second amendment does not the right to own a gun since the various provisions such as "militia" has been substituted buy defense forces under the government arm. Thus, there should be stricter gun laws as opposed to low regulation levels exhibited among some states..

Scene 6 (2m 40s)

[Audio] The US should impose stricter gun laws. Inadequate gun laws are responsible for high rates of gun-related violence within the UNITED STATES. Stricter gun laws are associated with reduced rates of firearm homicides and related fatalities. The current laws are insufficient in controlling continuous trend in firearm fatalities recorded within the country. The second amendment is not interpreted correctly since some states lack sufficient evidence for the role of gun ownership within the modern society..
