The Unit has been providing breakfast and lunch for students. They have maximized this initiative more since the pandemic. This was the go-to for many inner-city children since many parents in the households were unemployed, and some are still unable to find employment up to this day..

NEW INITIATIVES CONT’D. They have embarked on trying to get students back into school; many students have not been accounted for in the past two years. This is due to many not having devices, internet, and electricity to continue their education via the various online platforms. To combat this issue, the agency began visiting children in vulnerable communities to assess their needs and wants. The agency partnered with stakeholders to donate devices and provide wifi connections in the communities. The Ministry of education partnered with the agency to make this initiative a reality ..
