Introduction. Welcome to the INSTRUCTOR-LED ONLINE SECURITY GUARD TRAINING PROGRAM. Over the next phase you will develop the knowledge and skills required of a security professional. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be well-prepared to write the provincial licensing exam. You will also be ready to take on a role in the security field. This course has been designed to provide you with an interactive learning experience. The goals of this course are to help you gain confidence in your abilities and to prepare you to meet the challenges of working in security. The instructional materials and activities have been designed to increase your knowledge of the daily duties and responsibilities of a security professional. This course is delivered in eleven modules; each module deals with specific topic areas and there are learning outcomes associated with each. The law says that you must receive 40 hours of training including First Aid/CPR. This course covers all the important areas needed for basic training. It was designed to help you pass the provincial exam. To receive a certificate and/or reference number indicating successful completion of this course, you must attend all sessions of this training and must acquire a percentage of at least 80% in each quiz..

On the completion of an accumulative percentage of no less than 80%, including First Aid/CPR training (received by a certified training entity) you are eligible to obtain your Course Completion Number. First Aid Training. To qualify for your licence, you must also study and obtain Emergency Level First Aid/CPR Certification (Level C).
