But many people resort to using hand sanitizer as an alternative and quick solution instead of washing hands with soap and water..

Posed problem:. Which is more effective in reducing the amount of viruses on hands: washing with soap or using sanitizer ?.

Hypothesis:. Washing with soap show greater effect in reducing the amount of viruses on hands..

To validate our hypothesis w e did the following methods:.

Survey. We asked 10 0 students at Al Abrar School about their thoughts : Soap or Sanitizer is the solution for killing viruses?.

How viruses get onto hands?. Viruses are small beings that get onto hands if people touch any object that has viruses on it because someone coughed or sneezed on it or during the shaking of hands..

What is Soap?. Soap is a substance that is made from fat or oil used for cleaning. When combined with water, soap is able to wash away viruses..

What is Hand Sanitizer?. Hand sanitizer is a substance applied to the hands in order to remove common viruses. It come in foam, gel, or liquid form..

Conclusion:. We conclude that Soap and water are far more effective than sanitizer at reducing the amount of viruses..

Recommendations:. If soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol , and wash with soap and water as soon as you can. Handwashing isn’t a one-and-done exercise. Good hand hygiene throughout the day is vital to protecting your health as well as that of others..
