Scene 1 (0s)

"If". Anjaleen Davis

Scene 2 (9s)

While reading "If" I felt this was a perfectly crafted poem. The usage of figurative language was very well put together. For example, "Triumph and Disaster" from line 11. This line stood out to me because it portrayed how, in life you won't always have good days. But if you can pick yourself up and keep moving then you will be just fine. The rhyme scheme was also another element I found written to a high standard. Seeing the poet, Rudyard Kipling, put all these outstanding elements together to make a poem really showed the authors creativity and talent, but mostly his ability to speak louder than words. Overall, I felt this poem truly highlight many key virtues..

Scene 3 (1m 37s)

The main idea of this poem was to learn about navigating the rough jungle that is life. How to grow as a human and have good morals. Because being human is to learn, experiment, explore, being your own law maker and bettering yourself emotionally or physically every day. The poem also speaks on '"keep [ing] your head" when everyone surrounding you is without one (line 1). The message I received from this was, it can be very tough to keep calm or remain at bay when everything feels as if it's moving at super speed. But if you can collect yourself and make your way through the storm, then you will be just fine..
