Chairman, ladies and gentlemen … Pets We all have pets for different reasons, some pets are heroes, saving lives when humans can’t , others are healers and other’s well , they are just pets, but for me , all pets are special and they play a very important role in life.
The 1 first useful “pet” in the window of my pet shop is a Search and rescue dog. Dr. Becky Mullis, a small animal veterinarian from the University of Tennessee writes in the Article: Search and Rescue Dog Teams dated 14 Dec 2020 on the WEBSITE : HILLSPET.COM , that these dogs are trained to find people who are lost in the wilderness, buried beneath avalanches, drowning, or trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building. Katie Finlay, a dog owner and trainer from Los Angeles says these dogs are more successful than human search and rescue teams because their sense of smell is more developed…while some humans can’t even smell a dead rat!.
I saw another cute and loving pet in my mind’s window… Horses are pets and healers at the same time. They are dedicated to help children and young adults with, behavioural, social or physical challenges. Treatment may include cleaning, brushing or feeding them or a treatment programme which includes therapeutic riding. My mom read in an Article: What ?? Is Equine Therapy and Equine-Assisted Therapy? from 9 April 2021 on the WEBMD.COM WEBSITE that Dr Dan Brennan, a Paediatrician from California says h orses are observant and sensitive to their owners emotions , they are vigilant and sensitive to movement and emotion. They understand child behaviour and assist in their owner’s feeling of safety. A great horse will change your life. The truly special ones define it….
And then there is my puppy, Eva… Most people think she is just another dog, but to me she is a best friend and soul mate Did you know ?? that it has been scientifically proven that stroking an animal can greatly reduce your stress levels? Dr Travis McDermot , a Veterinary Surgeon from Las Vegas wrote in his online Article dated 3 May 2021 : The Importance of Pets in our lives on the WEBSITE: MY PETNEEDSTHAT.COM , If you spend around 15 minutes petting your dog, your body will release the following natural “feel good” hormones stress and when I take her for a walk I also get some fresh air and exercise ! I am totally relaxed and stress-free. But…nothing compares to her hugs and cuddles when a day is done! Our friendship means the world to me.
