[Audio] Today we're diving into the world of Perplexity. It's like a magic eightball, or Google, but with fewer disappointing answers..

Scene 3 (45s)

[Audio] This is how you start: Number 1. Use your P C, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Type in "perplexity dot A I" into your web browser. Such as Safari, Chrome, Edge, Outlook, foxfire, etc. Perplexity is out there somewhere in the clouds. It brings up the page you are looking at. Number 2. Skip the pop up advertising. And ignore anything that asks for a login. We are using the free version of Perplexity. The Pro version costs $200 per year Most users do not need it. Number 3. Type a question or command or even a phrase at the place marked Ask anything dot dot dot. We will try the question, "What is perplexity".

Scene 4 (1m 38s)

[Audio] This is what you see as you are asking the question. You do not have to be fussy, or spell everything right, or use upper and lower case, or have punctuation. Perplexity uses A I to make sense of what you ask. Submit the question with the Enter key , or by selecting the green circle arrow. Ignore anything showing Pro, or log in..

Scene 7 (3m 43s)

[Audio] Many statements in the perplexity answer have little numbers in gray circles that can be selected to display the reference used for that statement. Perplexity is quite good at avoiding answers that do not have a good reference. Misinformation is always possible in A I, so references should be checked, and answers should be fleshed out with more questions. Usually, misinformation (hallucinations) is quite hilarious and adds the fun. A I things are just machines. You can ask follow up questions in the same conversational thread of the question by using the otherwise annoying pop up at the bottom of each screen,.

[Audio] What is the meaning of life? Three source links, and a link to four more, and a bunch of pictures on the right. The meaning of life is a profound and complex question that has been pondered by philosophers, theologians, and thinkers throughout history. While there is no single, universally accepted answer, various perspectives offer insights into this fundamental inquiry. Philosophical Perspectives. Existentialism:. This philosophical approach emphasizes personal responsibility and freedom of choice. Existentialists like Jean-Paul Sartre argue that life has no inherent meaning; instead, individuals must create their own purpose through their choices and actions16. According to Sartre, "existence precedes essence," suggesting that humans are born without a predetermined purpose and must forge their own paths. Utilitarianism:. This perspective focuses on maximizing happiness and minimizing suffering for the greatest number of people. From this viewpoint, the meaning of life is to create as much happiness as possible and reduce suffering. Etc. Followed by religious insights, scientific views, psychological perspectives, ending summary. Integrating Perspectives. A holistic approach to understanding the meaning of life involves integrating various viewpoints. This may include drawing on philosophical concepts for ethical guidance, religious teachings for spiritual growth, and scientific insights to better understand the human condition. Then, a list of five related question suggestions. And, the pop up for your own related question to continue the conversation. Next question. How to start using WordPress..

[Audio] Write an Evangelical Christian sermon. This is a command, not a question. Write an Evangelical Christian sermon on a theme of addressing longstanding issues like infrastructure, climate change, public transit, affordable childcare, etc. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, The Bible teaches us that we are stewards of God's creation. In Genesis 1:28, God commands us to have dominion over the earth, but this dominion is not about exploitation; it is about responsible stewardship. When we consider issues like climate change and infrastructure, we must remember our mandate to care for God's creation. We are to be wise stewards and managers, not owners. And on and on. Amen! The response is similar to what ChatGPT produces. The request produces the requested sermon or other document. It must be edited and checked for accuracy and tone.
