ADJUSTING PRESSURE. [image] auto0. SET LIGHT, EVEN PRESSURE. TOO MUCH PRESSURE CAUSES WRINKLING AND TEARING. NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE CAUSES SLIPPING.

ADJUSTING DARKNESS. Polyester Labels - normal range of “18 - 24” Check barcode for clarity Outside edges of individual “bars” must be free of “burrs” - caused by too high a darkness setting. Printed areas should not have “light” spots caused by too low a darkness setting. Enter program, first display is “darkness”. Adjust and exit program (EXIT, Save - Permanent)..

PRINT QUALITY ADJUSTMENTS. Top of label is what comes out of printer last - not necessarily how the label is read (shipping label prints 90 degrees from top) Adjust “left +, right -”; “top -, bottom +” to center printing. Numeric values equal number of “dots” (300 dpi) Adjust darkness (if needed). Check labels for clarity and smudging (wax ribbon on poly label). “EXIT”, “SAVE”, “PERMANENT” after adjusting. Power outage/resumption will cause printer to default to last “saved” settings.

Printer Troubleshooting. Feeds 2 labels (1 blank) - Sensors dirty or label hung-up. Clean or clear. Severe voids in print field -Dirty labels, send to MRB Text drifts left - label guide not adjusted for label width. All text missing from right side of label - Label width setting wrong. Random vertical white lines on label - clean print head. Continuous “blurred” horizontal text in same area - clean gum from (silver) platen plate. Text compressed or drifts up and down - Worn drive belt..

System Troubleshooting. Printer address not in selection window - Wrong printer location set in Warranty table, call Support Mfg. Eng.
