Falls Prevention. Red and Green Tags. Every patient in hospital is at an increased risk of falling We use a Red / Green colour system for all patients Red = Assisted Green = Independent If you require assistance for an activity, your patient care board will be marked with a red dot.

Pressure Injury P r e v ention. Anyone can get a p r essu r e injury , especially people who are not at optimal health or are not moving freely W hat is a p r essu r e injury ? A pressure injury is an a r ea of skin damaged due to p r essu r e, shearing or friction A pressure injury may look mino r , but it can hide mo r e damage under the skin.

Keep active and change position f r equently If you a r e unable to move yourself, ask your N urse for help to change position regularly Special equipment such as air mattresses and cushions, is available to reduce the pressure in particular places Keep your s k in and bedding dry.
