Nancy Azbill (Nana). Nana, loved her kids more than anything, she quit her job, so she could spend more time with us than anyone else. She spent almost everyday ,after school, and the weekends, with us kids. She would stand up for us when we needed anything. When I was in first grade, my teacher would make fun of me. I couldn't read very well, and she stood up for me. She yelled at the teacher for the way she treated me. The teacher ended up quitting, because she was terrified. Nana even stood up for me in high school. She has always been there for us , though anything. Nana, was my HERO. She was very tough and wouldn’t take (S***) anything, from anyone. After she lost Papa, (Don; Dion) it was like she lost part of who she was. She started to hide indoors with her sister (Cindy). It was rare if she came to a family gathering, but that was okay. She tried her hardest every day. She had lost her WHOLE WORLD. She tried to come out when she could, and we tried to see her when we could. I was lucky enough to see her the day she passed,(04\11\2022). We watched, “Beetlejuice”. We laughed and talked the whole time. I know I won’t ever forget our last moments together. Nana will forever be my HERO. I look forward to making her proud, everyday. The last few months, we had been talking about what I want to go to school for. When I told her I wanted to write books for kids, she was one of the few people that supported me. She told me she wanted to help. I chose to switch my course to something more advanced. She continued to support me and remind me, what I wanted to do in the end. I want to become that writer someday for her, and help children learn more about outer space. I was showing her my test scores when I went to see her that day. She was so proud of me. When I found out she passed, I was destroyed. I still am. I ran as fast as I could. When my husband (Riley) came to the hospital, he told me, “She is with Papa in heaven riding motorcycles, now.” If so, RIDE LIKE THE WIND NANA AND PAPA , WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! We will always remember all the ways you’ve touched ALL of our lives.- Stacey.

Scene 36 (4m 46s)

The passing of a elderly, loved one creates such a overwhelming swirl of emotion. A lot of the time we overlook the grand scheme of things. They spent their whole life raising you, and hoping that they could give you the best life possible. Every struggle and bill that came their way, they took care of in hopes that one day this will mean something. So don't let go, in the wake of this loss. It maybe a major hit, and you may feel as if your life is over. Don't let it be the end. You have to remember the sacrifices they made to get to this point. You have to remember the love they had for you, as a child and as a young adult, growing into your own skin. They knew it would be hard, but they loved you. They watered you, and watched you grow like a weed. All in the hopes that one day you would be strong, loving, and kind.-Riley.
