To date MACCII has inducted 87 new members with more scheduled to be inducted during the next membership meeting. From a total membership of 240 at the beginning of the year, the new inductees brings the total active membership of MACCII to 372, a membership base that brings together the diverse business interests in the area and reflective confidence of local and foreign investors in the potentials of the city and its environs. In the height of the pandemic, MACCII boosted membership for the Barangay Micro Business Enterprise ( BMBE) to assist them to bounce back..

MACCII Member companies participated in the Local labor market assessments, provided training and mentoring, hosted 150+ youth in their work immersion/ OJT, and transitioned 60+ youth to employment and livelihood, and even extended the use of facilities ( office) as a venue for small trainings and meetings for stakeholders, partners and youth..

[Audio] MACCII and ARAW-ACI Sapang Bato Watershed Reforestation Project (Environment) The 560-hectare Angeles watershed is being rehabilitated to ensure the sustainable water supply for the Angeles and Metro Clark area. For a more sustainable reforestation project, MACCII member companies like Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. and Rural Bank of Porac participated in the Adopt-A-Watershed Program. These organizations adopted 1- 2 hectares of planting sites at the watershed..

[Audio] PSAU Technology Business Incubation ( Agri Business Start -Up) The Pampanga State Agricultural University's Sibul Technology Business Incubator ( TBI) is bridging gaps in the agribusiness ecosystem by synergizing the relationship of the government, the private sector, and the academe to help agri-based enterprises flourish and thrive. MACCII sees the importance of agri-business and the full potential of dried fruit and crop production not just to help the local farmers, but also to respond to food security and provide healthy snacks for all, this will also generate more people to take part in start-ups and provide employment to many..

[Audio] MACCII Advocacy on Agriculture MACCII Agriculture Committee is paving the way for the development of the export agri-industry. MACCII officers led by its leaders, Ronald Malicdem, Verman Reyes, and Elizabeth Carlos Timbol, met with industry stakeholders - young farmers national organization represented by Elvin Jerome Laceda of the Young Farmers Club Challenge ( YFCI), ube farmers Dr. Keno Devela and Dr. Joyce Fabia-Devela, food processing and manufacturing thru Ralo's Gold Food Corporation ( RGFC) of Dr. Eduardo Tuazon and Jefrey De Leon Crusis, the IP farming communities through Nords Malugayak of the Porac Agriculture Management Company ( PAMCI), and with support and guidance of the Department of Agriculture through Undersecretary Rv Vicerra and EA Camae Vicerra The summit aims to create the needed partnerships, collaborations, and synergies on the development of export agri-farming, processing, and production capacities & capabilities for both local and export requirements. [Audio] MACCII GenZynergy: New Generation Entrepreneurs Program The program aims to achieve its vision and goal to bring in young generation entrepreneurs ( MACCII members below 40 years old) in the Chamber and to see the different interventions from the government, private sector, and non-profit organizations which will allow them to rebuild the economy. The interventions that are implemented until now that include the following, but are not limited to: recognizing the role of MACCII & DTI Young Entrepreneurs Program in their businesses; using training programs and services provided by MACCII on mentorship, financial literacy and assistance, and business matching; and be a part of the DTI YEP's and other agencies in the Angeles City Youth Development Alliance to upskill/reskilling the young entrepreneurs through digital tech tools, digital marketing, e-commerce, etc. Through this program it open the doors of opportunities for KAMIR Shawarma (now a full fledged member of the MACCII GenZynergy program) to participate in the franchise summit in Manila, enhance its products through product development and mentoring, acquired financial assistance for expanding its business to several branches within Pampanga, and continues to widen its network and open its business for franchising. While the business is growing, mentoring continues and gives back to the community by giving talks and testimonials to young entrepreneurs..

[Audio] MACCII – DTI Negosyo Center (Boosting MSMEs) The strong partnership of MACCII and DTI expands in the Negosyo Center strategically located at the MACCII office in 2018. The center encourages more MSMEs, non-members and MACCII members to avail the different business services from business registration to renewal, etc. This also allows them to see that MACCII is a strong organization which can help them to grow their business and network. At the height of the pandemic, when we thought that businesses would be closing, but apparently not, there was a high turnout of new registered businesses. Truly, nothing can stop our entrepreneurs.

Shared facilities, services and tools are its main characteristics. [Audio] Clark Business Conference Clark Development Corporation, MACCII and European Chambers joined the Digital Business Conference themed " Clark, the next big opportunity" opened the doors for investors and business owners alike to see the great investment opportunities in Real Estate, Transportation, Manufacturing, Services and other industries that are available within the Clark area and its wider region. In addition, the event envisions to further connect Clark to other parts of the world as a sustainable and resilient place for global investors. MACCII President Elizabeth Timbol, one of the speakers in the conference, reiterated that Pampanga was recognized by DTI as the 7th Most Competitive Provinces in the country.
