A cable stripper will be required in the second step. Start by removing about an inch of the jacket to reveal about an inch of wires. Because the jacket will have to be clamped down within an RJ45 connector, make sure not to remove too much of it.

After then, at least two RJ45 wire connections, one for each side of the cable, will be required. Organize the wires into the correct color sequence of the cable you want after you've spread them out. The T-568B is a straight-through standard, which means that the wires will be arranged in the same color order on both sides. If the colors aren't all the same length, use wire cutters on the end of each wire to make it the same length once they've been grouped. Start putting the wires into the RJ45 connections after they are flat, in order, and can reach all the way to the end of the connector. Make sure the connector's tab is pointing down and push the wires down to the end of the connector, holding them flat and in order, until you can see all the copper wires through the plastic. Hold in mind that the jacket must be slightly inside the connector to keep the wire in place before crimping it.

To secure the connector to the cable, you'll need RJ45 wire crimpers. If all of the wires and a portion of the cable jacket have been crimped into the RJ45 connection, the cable should be ready to crimp the wires inside the socket. A wire locking piece inside is pushed down by the crimpers, which cannot be undone. If there are any problems with the connection and the wire doesn't work properly after it's been crimped down correctly, the only way to solve it is to use wire cutters to cut off the RJ45 connector and start again with a new RJ45 connector.

Step 5:Testing the Cable. Finally, use a cable tester to get more information about the wire, such as where the wires are located and how long the cable is in total. A tester can also tell you whether there are any wires in the wrong places..
