The gender Pay Gap has turned into a big issue in the garment sector in nine countries in Asia The raw gender pay gap is 18% (Fisher et al. 2020) Garment factories may outsource their production to homemakers to lower the prices and be able to compete with the rivals Women hold less than 25% of top positions in leading fashion brands.
