We will be discussing the 2nd quarter accomplishment reports for our Security and Operations office in Abuyog Leyte. These reports help us track our progress and identify areas for improvement. [Audio] We are discussing an important aspect of our operations at Bureau of Corrections particularly at Leyte Regional Prison in Abuyog. We have been monitoring the confiscation of contrabands including unauthorized cash within the prison premises and have seen significant numbers in the past few weeks. On April 01 2024 a total of sixty-five (65) contrabands were confiscated. The next day April 02 2024 this number nearly doubled to one hundred thirty (130) confiscated contrabands. Then on April 08 2024 we saw a decrease to eighty (80) confiscated contrabands. On April 15 2024 we discovered an alarming amount of unauthorized cash amounting to Php 34 000.00 along with forty-six (46) confiscated contrabands. Our efforts have not stopped there. On April 23 2024 we confiscated thirty-nine (39) contrabands and on May 02 2024 a total of eighty (80) contrabands were recorded. It is evident that we must continue our vigilant operations to maintain security within Maxsecamp. On April 24 2024 our team successfully provided top-notch security during the visit of Dr Persida V Rueda-Acosta the D-S-D and Chief of Public Attorney's Office. We ensured the safety of all individuals present at the event. Moving on to May 04 2024 we efficiently received 107 P-D-Ls who were transferred from the New Bilibid Prison. This task required meticulous planning and execution for a seamless transition of the inmates. Finally on May 16 2024 our team promptly responded to a fire incident at L-R-P-I inside the Maximum Security Camp. With our training and preparedness we contained the situation and prevented any major damage. [Audio] Continuing on it's essential to regularly train Bureau of Corrections Leyte Regional Prison security staff. This should include Quick Response Team exercises like close quarters combat improvised explosive device training and V-I-P security training. Additionally investing in better lighting perimeter fencing spotlights barbed wire padlocks and metal detectors can significantly improve the facility's security.
