[Virtual Presenter] We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Medical Affairs Portal, which aims to deliver highly valued scientific content, pipeline information and GSK input at international congresses with posters and presentations. This portal will be an essential tool for our Medical Affairs team to keep abreast of the latest developments in the industry and to support our scientific engagement with healthcare professionals..
[Audio] The importance of a Medical Affairs website for GSK The Medical Affairs Portal is The GSK website that provides scientific and medical content related to GSK's products and pipeline, as well as insights and perspectives on disease areas and patient management. The portal is designed to support scientific engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including dissemination of posters and presentations at international congresses. The importance of the Medical Affairs Portal lies in its ability to provide accurate and up-to-date scientific and medical information to HCPs. HCPs rely on this type of information to make informed decisions about patient care, treatment options, and clinical trial participation. By providing a centralized highly secured platform for accessing this information, the Medical Affairs Portal helps to ensure that HCPs have access to consistent, reliable, and current scientific and medical information. The Medical Affairs Portal is an essential component of omnichannel communication strategy, as it provides a centralised platform for medical and scientific information exchange, which can be accessed through multiple channels, thereby enhancing the communication experience, and improving engagement with healthcare professionals. Furthermore, the Medical Affairs Portal serves as a valuable resource for Medical Affairs teams within GSK, allowing them to efficiently collaborate, develop, and disseminate scientific content to support their engagement with HCPs..
[Audio] How is the Medical Affairs Portal different from the commercial GSKpro website? The Medical Affairs Portal and the commercial GSKpro website serve different purposes and are designed for different audiences. The Medical Affairs Portal is a platform specifically designed for Medical Affairs teams to access and disseminate scientific and medical information related to GSK's products and pipeline. The content available on the Medical Affairs Portal is focused on providing accurate and up-to-date information to support scientific engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including dissemination of posters and presentations at international congresses. On the other hand, the commercial GSKpro website is primarily focused on commercial activities, such as promoting GSK's products and services, providing product information to customers, and offering resources to support the prescribing and use of GSK's products. While the GSKpro website may also contain some scientific and medical content, its primary focus is on supporting commercial activities. In summary, Medical Affairs Portal and GSKpro are two distinctly different platforms for healthcare professionals (HCPs) seeking medical and educational content. The Medical Affairs portal answers the increasing demand of HCP (Healthcare Professional) for more medical and educational content. While GSKpro is dedicated for accessing GSK production information and commercial activities..
[Audio] How do HCP be granted access to the Portal Access to the medical affairs portal can be obtained through registration, which involves ticking two mandatory checkboxes and one optional checkbox. The first mandatory checkbox requires agreement to our privacy notices, while the second one requires agreement to view content containing non-public information on off-label use of GSK products outside the terms of marketing authorization. It is important to note that GSK does not endorse or support any use of its products outside the approved prescribing information. This agreement is called the Virtual Document of Interest, VDI. The third checkbox is optional and pertains to consent for mailing purposes; if the HCP has given consent previously, it will remain valid. Once the registration form is completed and positively verified against our database, the HCP will be granted access to the portal. Additionally, a notification email will be sent to confirm the successful registration. Mandatory tickboxes are stored within the database. At this moment there is no connection with veeva CRM.
