Substance Abuse: 1 . People who use alcohol and drugs tend to look down on people who don’t use these substances. 2. They might try to force teens to do what they are doing or prevent them from leaving a group using these substances. Crime Teens are influenced to commit crimes for many reasons : a) Teens are challenged by peers b) Teens are want peer approval c)Teens don’t want to be looked down upon d)Teens are afraid of being excluded e)Teens also look for approval from peers Unsafe Sexual Behavior 1. Studies show that teens often become sexually active because they want to impress their friends. 2.Studies also show that teens become sexually active because they want to be accepted by the rest of the group. Bullying 1.Bullying is defined as when one person or group repeatedly threaten to harm someone they see as weaker than themselves 2. It intended to injure someone through either or both direct or indirect attacks on the person 3. Directly through physical attacks and indirect attacks 4. Indirectly through spreading rumors' Rebellious Behavior 1. Teens sometimes adopt rebellious behavior to fit in with a group that follow the norms of society a) Disobeying the rules in general B ) Using illegal substances like alcohol and drugs c)Missing school d) Arguing with teachers and principal e) Running away from home to be with the group.

What are the Results Peer Pressure on Individuals experiencing peer pressure? 1.Substance Abuse 1. Can affect teens health and lead to an early death through have an overdose from having taken drugs. 2. Can affect teens ability to think clearly and make safe decisions about your wellbeing. 3. Can cause teens to end up in an car accident, get into a fight or commit a crime like theft, murder, harassment. 3. Unhealthy sexual behavior 1.Can affect the teens resulting in pregnancy. 2.Can affect the teen health n getting HIV and AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases(STD’s) 4. Bullying 1.Can make the teens depressed 2.Can make the teens have thoughts of suicide 3. Can encourage the teens being bullied to carry out revenge crimes 2. Crime 1.Teens can be affect by crime through being taken advantage of and exploited to do criminal acts e.g. theft, sexual harassment, assault. 2.Teens above age 14 but under 18 years can be arrested in South Africa 3. Teens between the ages of 14 and 18 years can go to prison in certain cases 5. Rebellious Behavior 1. Can affect the teens so that they become juvenile delinquents who are capable of even break the law.
