The accepted personal distance of italy is 2-3 feets.In italy people don't turn their back to others because they find it rude behaviour .for example in case if in a elevator there is space for 10 peoples but in italy only 6 people will occupy that elevator to avoid turning their back to others .if they go to any store or any public are where they have to stand in a queue then they stand around 2-3 feets distance.

Slide #8: How is eye contact maintained in your country?

In Italy people maintain direct eye contact during conversations .but there are some places in italy where maintaing direct eye contact is not a good sign for peoples living there specially if the person standing in front of  them is old or elder then them.

Scene 3

In Italy upon meeting and leave taking , both strangers as well as otsiders wish each other great day or great evening . Italians who are friends welcome each other with a kiss , generally first on the left cheek ,then at the point on the right. And when they meet a new person they shake hands with them.
