There are many degrees Bachelor of Arts degree programs out there, but very few give you the flexibility of both of core classes and the wide range of career opportunities in which a degree in religion can give a young student looking to make a difference in in American and around the world. Required courses. American Military University requires a total of 120 total semester hours consisting of 15 semester hours in Christian Studies or Non-Profit Leadership (tross)..

Main Religious topics and concepts. Some of the main religious topics for discussion include the study and description of several famous existentialist, the study of creation myths, exploration of the Association of Religion Data Archives drawing comparisons to social influence of religion on different types of society, and more (thearda.com). Some of my favorite subjects to study were both the Introduction of the Old and New Testaments, and Four Gospels containing the Teachings of Jesus Christ (tross)..

What Jobs Can I Get With A Religious Studies Degree?.

Example of missionary. Some of the contemporary applications of the religion today are through evangelism by going out to different countries on missionaries to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ (Deming). This can be through helping in the communities with feeding the homeless, assisting in marriage counseling, and providing actives for youth through youth ministries. This comes in many way including television, social media, and street preaching to reach others (Deming)..

Personal Experience and Testimony. Because of my background and experience while taking the path to a degree in religion, I have had the opportunity to fill in for chaplains to perform prayer for major military ceremonies, provide crisis intervention, and help with kid's ministries at local churches within my community. Though my concentration is in Christianity, I have been able to take courses studying Judaism and Islam, which helps me to have a better understanding of other religions..
