Mi'kma'ki territory Halifax is the capital and most populous municipality of the Canadian province of nova scotia. The Mi'kmaq people have lived in the region for thousands of years in Mi’kma’ki. There are many Mi'kmaq territory around the Halifax. Mi'kmaq signed various treaties with the British Crown between 1725 and 1779. These treaties known as peace and friendship treaties which help to protect the rights of Mi'kmaq. Organizations: Union of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaq (UNSM): This organization provides political rights for the Mi'kmaq people of Nova Scotia. Native Council of Nova Scotia (NCNS): The NCNS is the self-governing authority for the group of Mi’kmaq/Aboriginal peoples. They represents advocate for their community..

Yukon The Yukon territory located in the northwest part of the Canada. Whitehorse is the capital city of Yukon. There are two main group of indigenous people that live in Whitehorse, Yukon which is the Kwanlin Dün First Nation, and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. Treaties : The Yukon has serval treaties which is known as rights of indigenous people. Umbrella Final Agreement: This agreement, signed in 1993 by the Government of Canada, the Government of Yukon and the council of Yukon first nations. This agreement known as for negotiating individual land claim agreement with Yukon first nations. Self Government Agreement: The agreement provides funding for many programs and services. Organization: Council of Yukon first nations(CYFN) Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre.
