[Audio] Objectives. In this slide presentation, employee will be walked through step by step on how to enter a new CBC QC lot into the sysmex system. After the presentation, employees should be able to do this on their own with no supervision and 100% accuracy..
[Audio] Step 1. Select the Qc file icon that is along the top of the touch screen..
[Audio] Step 2. SSelect a QC file that does not have a lot registered to it and is blank..
[Audio] What to do if there is no empty slots to input the new lot. Find the expired lots or the lots that are no longer in use and delete them. To do this, simply select the lot you want to delete and then select delete..
[Audio] Step 3. Select the register button on the top of the touch screen..
[Audio] Step 4. Scan the barcode on the new CBC lot and make sure that the lot and expiration date(which should be 14 days from the first use date) is entered correctly..
[Audio] Step 5. Repeat steps 1- 4 for all 3 levels of the CBC QC, verifying that all lots and expiration dates are correct..
[Audio] Step 6. Preform parallel studies between production lot and new lot prior to production lot expiration. In other words, run all three new lot CBC controls along with the three old lot CBC controls for 10 days before the old lot expires..
[Audio] Tips. Run all CBC QC exactly like you would run a patient sample. Select manual Scan the barcode on CBC QC vial Hit ok Push the blue button once the green light comes on. Review the results on machine and in Orchard If all is well, accept the results on the CBC machine and in Orchard.
Step 1. Select manual on the bottom right hand side of the touch screen..
Step 2. Scan the barcode on CBC QC vial or the patient sample and make sure the lot is entered on the screen correctly.

Step 4. Push the blue button(1) once the green light on the touch screen(2) and the machine itself(3) becomes solid and is not longer blinking..
Step 5. Review the results on machine and in Orchard.
Step 6. If all results are good and within range, approve the results on the CBC machine(for QC) and in Orchard(for QC and patient samples)..
