Topic: Complex Permanent Tissue : XYlem.
[Audio] What are tissues? Tissues are group of cells that work together to perform a specific funcition. Tissues are of two types Plant tissue and animal tissue we have to talk about xylem which is a complex permanent tissue.
[Audio] Xylem is one of the two types of transport tissue in vascular plants, the other being phloem. Together, xylem and phloem make up the plant's vascular system, which is responsible for the transport of water, nutrients, and sugars throughout the plant. It helps in transportation of water and also provides support to the plant.
[Audio] Xylem is composed of several types of cells, including: Tracheids: Elongated cells with tapered ends. They are found in the xylem of all vascular plants. Vessel Elements: Shorter, wider cells that, when arranged end to end, form vessels. Vessel elements are found in angiosperms (flowering plants) and some gymnosperms (non-flowering seed plants). Xylem Fibers: These cells provide additional support to the xylem. Xylem Parenchyma: These are living cells that play a role in the storage and metabolism of various substances within the xylem..
