RESULTS OF CO2 EMISSION CALCULATION. TOTAL AVERAGE FOOTPRINT / HOUSE: 7.53 TONNES OF CO2 (ELECTRICITY: 0.74 TONNE + GAS: 6.79 TONNES) TOTAL AVERAGE FOOTPRINT / PERSON: 2.51 TONNES OF CO2 (ELECTRICITY: 0.25 TONNE + GAS: 2.26 TONNES) IT IS BETTER THAN IT WAS 50 YEARS AGO, BUT STILL: IT IS TOO MUCH!!!.

HOW TO LOWER THE NUMBERS?. IN ORDER TO AVOID CLIMATE CHANGES, ALL EUROPEAN STATES, COMPANIES AND CITIZENS HAVE TO REDUCE THEIR CONSUMPTION. In Hungary the average CO2 emission is 15 kg / person / day . CONSUME LESS WATER, GAS AND ELECTRICITY AT YOUR HOME In an average Hunagrian household ¾ of energy is on heating – that is 10% more than the EU average . Renovation , modernization may help a lot - for example : new shutters , entrance doors , modern insulation systems and energy efficient household appliances . PLANT TREES USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OR BICYCLE TO GO TO SCHOOL / WORK CONVINCE YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD TO DO THE SAME .
