The Total number of Muslim girls passing out of Class12 in a year is 44820. Every year there is a 3% rise in the population. We currently have only one Women’s College for Muslim girls i.e. Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed college for Women run by the S.I E.T which caters to approximately 7000 to 7250 students per year..
What is the fate of 14007 Students in 2021?. . Do we have enough colleges to accommodate them?.
If the answer is “YES” for a college. History has it that we did have a college of Arts and Sciences for the Mohammedan women incepted in 1945 in the campus of Government Hobart Higher Secondary School for Muslim Girls with a reservation of 75% for Muslim women. It was closed and transferred to Ethiraj College Trust due to lack of enrolments from the Muslim Community..
An Appeal. The PTA and the magnanimous supporters of Hobart have held the mantle of this great institution for so many long years ..
Thank You.
