EVALUATION AND FORMULATION.

Page 24 (5m 42s)

Physical appearance. As any other cosmetic products, the beauty of gel for consumers tends to be judged visually, thus having good physical appearance is important. The physical appearance was visually checked for the appearance, color and the feel on application of prepared hair gel formulations. Results are as shown in table no 2..

Page 25 (6m 0s)

pH:. gel formulations was determined by using the digital pH meter. One gram of gel was dissolved in 100ml distilled water and stored for two hours. Electrodes were completely dipped into the hair gel formulations and pH was noted. The results are presented in the table..

Page 26 (6m 16s)

Homogeneity: Developed hair gel was tested for homogeneity by visual inspection after the gel was set in a container. It was tested for appearance, presence of any lumps, aggregates and flocculates..

Page 27 (6m 39s)

Stability Study: The study was carried out for the prepared hair gel at standard room temperature of 25-30 °C for 30 days. Several Parameters such as physical appearance odour& and color of the prepared hair gel were noticed. Significant changes in color and pH of hair gel were not observed in 30 days..

Thereby prevents hair fall. Aqueous mucilage gel of aloe leaves was prepared to specific gravity of 1.2kg/m3. Flax seed mucilage with specific gravity of 1.3kg/m3 was prepared. The formulations F1, F2 and F3 were prepared as per the formula given below.

Page 32 (7m 51s)

All the formulations were evaluated for pH, physical appearance, homogeneity, washability and stability. 8. The work justifies all the evaluation parameters and the resultant value lies within the standard limits The evaluation parameter was found to be satisfactory. Further clinical studies are required for trails on human.
