Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Siddhi Patidar is leading a project to prevent under-loading and overloading of Railway wagons. The Magic Cube team is developing a system of internet of things device for use in the transportation and logistics domain. Siddhi Patidar is leading the team and is being supported by the Ministry of Coal..

Scene 2 (22s)

[Audio] For this project, we are using the latest smart sensors and data transmitting devices that will be connected to the top of the side frames of the bolster beam of the wagons, equipped with load cell sensors to keep them protected from any damage. The system is also coupled with a centralized platform that will track the weight and loading status of the wagons. We will use IOT devices to determine the safe weight limits and thresholds for each train wagon, based on regulations and wagon specifications. The IOT devices will come with Wi-Fi communication, allowing data transmission to a cloud-based platform with a GSM Module/Node MCU. Additionally, laser beams will be mounted vertically at the top of the wagons to track the loading, measuring the distances between the laser beam and the base of the wagons. Laser sensors and scanners will check the load distribution and securement of the cargo inside. Another laser beam will be connected horizontally across the adjacent walls of the wagons to measure underloading and overloading of goods. If the laser beam is affected, it means the goods are overloaded, and if not affected, it means there is underloading..

Scene 3 (1m 35s)

[Audio] The Magic Cube team is exploring a novel solution to the issue of under- or over-loading railway wagons. Incorporating the latest in IoT technology, their system is designed to monitor the balance of the load, as well as generate predictive maintenance algorithms to spot any potential problems. This system will also provide operators with a dashboard that enables them to visualize historical loading data, recognize trends, and reach informed decisions. Taking the relevant dependencies and show-stoppers into account, such as wear and tear, shock and impact, electrical problems, system dependency on the internet, and data loss and recovery, the team is confident of their progress..

Scene 4 (2m 29s)

[Audio] The Magic Cube team, led by Siddhi Patidar from the Ministry of Coal, has five members: Palak Soni, Rupali Neelkanth, Hemant Ahirwar, Abhishek Agrawal and Pranay Wankhede. The team is supported by two mentors: Dr. Indra Kumar Shah with 13.5 years of domain experience, and Mr. Sharad Jain with 12 years of domain experience. Both mentors have extensive knowledge in the areas of IOT and Wireless Sensor Network and IOT and Mobile Communication, respectively. We wish the team and mentors the best of luck in completing the project..
