Despite his state of calm and attentiveness guided by intuition from his nature, we soon learn that Tai Chi is just one of the ways Ben takes steps to stop his restlessness as a retired widower. To occupy his time, Ben plays golf, goes to the movies, reads books; he takes cooking classes, learns Mandarin, does yoga, and uses all of his frequent flyer miles to travel the world.
