What’s happening?. The whole world woke up in 2019 with what might have been one of the most shocking news of the contemporary world, COVID-19..

Introduction. Malaysia, being one of the most affected countries, has enforced a lot of restrictions such as Movement Control Order (MCO) starting on March 18, 2020 , after a sudden rise in the number of COVID positive cases. With the MCO, which is one of the biggest decisions by the government to break the chain of COVID-19 being enforced, the educational system also got inflicted, and has gone through change..

Online learning is a process of teaching and learning, or lecture that occurs in a different place from the normal learning setting..

Aim of the study. Figure out what problems do the AHAS KIRKHS undergraduate students face during Online & Distance learning (ODL), and understanding their concern.

“My groupmates did not reply to my messages in WhatsApp group when I asked them to do the assignments…. …My other problems is my internet connection, IIUM’s wifi is sometimes slow and it affects my progress of assignments” Muhammad Hakim Malik (One of the interview respondent).

“I find it hard to focus, especially when I’m at home with my family, or even in campus, surrounded by my friends, there are a lot of distractions preventing me from focusing in class.” Farah Aisya Binti Faisal (One of the interview respondent).

RECOMMENDATION. FOR FUTURE RESEARCH. 1. To conduct a research on students of other kulliyyah , considering that each kulliyyah has different study and workload. 2. To conduct a research on students of other ages, for example school students or kindergarten students, considering they also have gone through ODL, and some even do to this date.

CONCLUSION. ODL might be good way of combating the spread of COVID-19 , but it has caused many problems to people in education circle. Therefore, we should be aware of the concern of students, and find a way to help them so that they can get the most out of any lectures and focus on their study..
