Reason why the depth of Atlantic Ocean becomes lesser as we move towards its center.

Mid Ocean Ridge. A mid-ocean ridge or mid-oceanic ridge is an underwater mountain range , formed by plate tectonics. This uplifting of the ocean floor occurs when convection currents rise in the mantle beneath the oceanic crust and create magma where two tectonic plates meet at a divergent boundary..

These ridge is formed because the divergent of two plates with basaltic lava coming out and cooling down and forms shield volcanoes wit gentle or steep slopes ..

Reason. The mid Atlantic ridge is located in the center of the Atlantic ocean. These is a long range of very tall underwater mountain range with steep slopes..
